Thelandofpapua.com – The Center for Human Resource Development and Training of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (Kemenkominfo) has initiated a comprehensive Digitalization Entrepreneurship Academy (DEA) program, targeting 200 young entrepreneurs in Biak Numfor Regency, Papua. The training aims to enhance entrepreneurial efforts, making them more efficient, affordable, and accessible.
Djunaidy Aspan, the Coordinator of Human Resource Development at the Center for Human Resource Development and Training, Kominfo Makassar, highlighted the significance of this program during the training session held in Biak on Friday. “Through this basic Digital Entrepreneurship training, we hope to make entrepreneurship efforts faster, more affordable, and easier,” said Aspan, as reported by Antara.
The training is designed to open numerous opportunities for business actors to collaborate with their partners. Djunaidy emphasized that digitalization training is expected to boost business effectiveness in marketing. “The digital world today offers vast new resources for entrepreneurs to utilize, ranging from open data collection, content, code, and services to actively participate in business activities,” he explained.
Djunaidy further noted that digitalization could bridge the gap between entrepreneurs and the digitally literate society, preparing Papua’s human resources to meet the demands of Industry 4.0. He revealed that the current value of the new digital market business stands at 7.56 billion US dollars, with projections for the digital economy in 2024 expected to reach 12.5 billion US dollars.
Supporting this initiative, Biak Numfor Regency Assistant Secretary 1, Semuel Rumaikeuw, stated that the digitalization training provides new market access for business actors. He added that this training could significantly increase the family income of MSME actors in the coming year. “The Biak Numfor Regency Government hopes that the number of training participants will remain at 200 until the end,” Rumaikeuw said.
Rumaikeuw expressed his optimism that the Digitalization Entrepreneurship Academy training would become a valuable skill asset for business actors, enhancing their income potential. He emphasized that digitalization opens up new opportunities, including access to the digital market.
The Head of the Organizing Committee, Tasmil, confirmed that the academic digitalization entrepreneur training was well-received, with full attendance from all 200 participants.
This initiative by Kemenkominfo underscores the government’s commitment to fostering digital entrepreneurship in Papua, equipping young entrepreneurs with the necessary skills to thrive in an increasingly digital economy.
