Thelandofpapua.com – The Provincial Government (Pemprov) of Papua distributed 5 thousand liters of free kerosene to the residents of Jayapura ahead of the 79th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia.
The distribution of free kerosene took place during the Cheap Food Movement (GPM) at the Papua Governor’s Office courtyard, Jayapura City, Papua, on Friday, August 2, 2024.
Herman Bleskadit, Head of Trade at the Papua Office of Industry, Trade, Cooperatives (Perindagkop), said the free kerosene was distributed to residents attending the launch of the 79th Independence Day celebrations. This kerosene is subsidized by the Papua Government.
“Each person is given an allotment of 5 liters per person. We hope this can help meet the needs of the community,” Herman said.
Herman advised the public not to sell or trade the government-subsidized kerosene. “We do not want that because the provincial government provides kerosene for the people,” he said.
